Discounted tickets for the Marion
Popcorn Festival amusement rides are on sale at all
three Marion Sky Bank locations through Wednesday,
September 5
Sheets of 20 tickets will be
available for a price of $12.00, and only full sheets of
20 tickets will be sold during the pre-Festival sale.
This is a significant savings over ticket prices
purchased at the Festival, and Marion Popcorn Festival
organizers are encouraging area families to purchase
their ride tickets early for the best bargains. During
the Festival, sheets of 20 will be $15; 40 will be $28;
and sheets of 60 will be $40.
Burton Brothers will be handling
the ride attractions at the 27th Marion
Popcorn Festival, and all rides and attractions open
each day at 11:00 a.m. Various attractions require a
different number of tickets.
Sky Bank in Marion has three
locations where tickets are available: 1200 Mt. Vernon
Avenue, 150 South State Street, and 195 Barks Road.
The Festival will also be having
two wristband days. They will be Thursday, from 5:00 –
11:00 p.m. and Friday, noon until 5:00 p.m. Wristbands
may be purchased at the Festival for $15 and are good
only for the day they are purchased.
Slated for September 6, 7, & 8, the
Marion Popcorn Festival is the largest popcorn festival
in the world with an annual attendance estimated in
excess of 250,000 over the three-day festival. Main
stage entertainment is: AC/DC tribute band Hells Bells
on Thursday evening; country sensation Blake Shelton for
Friday night; and alternative rock group Gin Blossoms on
Saturday. All performances begin at 8:30 p.m. and are
