Due to unforeseen circumstances,
the Marion Popcorn Festival has had to change the
locations in which to purchase presale ride tickets.
These deeply discounted ride tickets can be
purchased at the Marion Convention and Visitors Bureau,
1713 Marion-Mt. Gilead Road,
from 8:00 – 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, September 6
& 7.
They may also be purchased at the Festival’s Information
Booth Tuesday evening from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., and again
Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The Festival’s Information Booth is located at
the corner of Center and Prospect Streets at the bottom
of the overpass.
Sheets of 20 tickets are $15.00 per
sheet.
That’s a savings of $5.00 per sheet, a significant
savings over ticket prices purchased at the Festival.
During the Festival sheets of 20 tickets will be
$20, sheets of 40 tickets will be $34, and a sheet of 60
tickets will be $50.
Marion Popcorn Festival organizers are
encouraging area families to purchase their ride tickets
early for the best bargains.
Only full sheets
of 20 tickets will be sold during the pre-Festival sale.
Burton Brothers will be handling
the ride attractions at the 31th Marion
Popcorn Festival.
All rides and attractions open Thursday at 1:00
and noon Friday and Saturday; various attractions
require a different number of tickets.
The Festival will also be having
two wristband days, with the wristbands good all day
long on Thursday and Friday, September 9 and 10.
Wristbands must be purchased at the Festival
for$15 on Thursday and $20 on Friday.
Wristbands are good only for the day they are
purchased.
All rides on Saturday will be tickets only.
The Marion Popcorn Festival is the
largest popcorn festival in the world with an annual
attendance estimated in excess of 250,000 over the
three-day festival.
