PARADE ROUTE INFORMATION
MARION, OH –
Peace, Love and Popcorn is the theme of the 2010 Marion Popcorn
Festival’s Orville Redenbacher Parade. As in years past,
it will step off at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 9, on
East Center Street at Forest Lawn Boulevard and proceed west on
Center to State
Street. From there, it will go
south on State to Church, jog west to Main Street, and disband at Main and Hill streets.
There are some street closings where the
parade normally sets up, so parade organizers ask that anyone
planning to be in the parade check with their organization’s
coordinator to ensure they know where their unit is setting up.
Parade organizers have also put the lineup on the Festival’s web
site to make it easier for participates to find their location.
Simply go to
www.popcornfestival.com and click on the “Get the
2010 parade lineup HERE” icon in the center column. You
will need to scroll down the list to find your organization and
location. Organizers note there are a number of pages, so
you may need to scroll through 9 or 10 pages to find your group.
